Dear Members,

A special meeting of the MEC has been called by Councils 41, 70 and 89 to recall MEC President Teddy Xidas. Due to scheduling conflicts with several LEC officers the meeting, originally scheduled for this afternoon, has been rescheduled for 11:00 August 5, 2005. 

The recall of any officer is serious business and not to be taken lightly. As your representative I can assure you I have given this situation the due diligence necessary to reach a decision on behalf of Council 89. 

Although the recall numbers are clear EVERY MEC member will have the chance to be heard at the meeting and I believe the record will then show the decision reached is the correct course of action for our membership. 

In fairness to Ms.Xidas, other members of the MEC and the membership I believe it is prudent for me to reserve further comment until after the special meeting and will do so at the appropriate time.
