UNUSED 2011 SA1 VACATION and GUEST PASSES

As a quick reminder, the deadline to book unused 2011 SA1 vacation and guest passes is rapidly approaching. You may utilize these unused vacation and guest passes from 2011 in 2012 as long as they are booked by Sunday, January 15th on Travel US by 10:00 AM EST. If you have any questions pertaining to travel, please contact Employee Travel at Employee.Travel@usairways.com.

BOARDING PRIORITIES

A few months ago I sent out information pertaining to boarding priorities. I would like to reiterate some of the information and make a correction regarding the guess pass rider boarding priority. A guest pass rider is not eligible for a SA1 priority boarding even if they are traveling with the employee who in advance listed as a SA1. However, a guest pass person will be elevated to a SA3 priority status from a SA7 status if traveling with the employee and will maintain that priority even if the employee is jumpseat eligible and decides to take the jumpseat. The guest pass traveler will also maintain the SA3 status should the employee be a working crew member on that flight (you must notify the agent of the situation).

Unaccompanied travel dependents travel at a SA4 boarding priority. A SA1 priority is extended to eligible travel dependents: i.e. spouse, children, domestic partner, registered guest, and parents if they are traveling with the employee and the employee is also listed for SA1 travel. Should the employee be jumpseat eligible and decides to travel on the jumpseat, the eligible travel dependents will not lose their SA1 priority status. If the employee is a working crew member on the flight, then an eligible traveling dependant will travel at a SA3 priority status.

I have provided the priority boarding chart below for more clarification.

I received a few questions asking, "Does a SA1 vacation pass give priority for the jumpseat award"? The answer is NO. The SA1 vacation pass only applies to a cabin seat and does not apply to the jumpseat.
