US Airways Flight 1549

US Airways flight 1549 from LGA to CLT went down shortly after takeoff. The aircraft ditched into the Hudson River. According to Company reports, the aircraft was carrying 150 passengers and a crew of five. Initial reports are indicating there were no serious injuries or fatalities to either the passengers or the crew.

AFA is working with the Company as this event unfolds.

As always, there is a tremendous amount of speculation and rumor regarding an accident. Please refrain from passing on any information that has not been verified.

I also ask that you say a prayer for the all the passengers and crew.
