HC Cost Code on Paycheck Stub

There have been a few members calling the Local Union offices questioning the" HC Cost "code on their 15th paycheck. The company is in the process of explaining this code with a CBS message. The 15th paycheck does contain a message on it that reads: Message HC Cost REQD W2 healthcare non taxable. The amount listed by the HC Cost is the combined contribution total for healthcare by the employee and company for that pay period. This is a new IRS requirement. This is for informational use and compliance with the IRS mandate. The indicated amount is not to be taxed, subtracted or added to your paycheck. The CBS message should provide greater details.
