Two Ways to Stay Informed about Developments in and around AFA
There are two great ways for US Airways Flight Attendants to stay informed about developments at AFA and around the labor
movement and make your voice heard.
Every two weeks, the AFA International Office sends out "AFA Interactive"--a newsletter created specifically to help
Flight Attendants stay informed about news and legislation that could impact our careers. Everyone who is signed up to receive AFA
Interactive will also get special bulletins called
"e-Activist Updates" which will allow you to send letters directly to
Congress, the FAA and airline management with just a few clicks of your mouse, right from your computer.
Becoming an e-activist is easy and with the decline of the airline industry and the assault on our work rules and quality of our careers, e-Activist is a powerful way for US Airways
Flight Attendants to act together in our best interest. Go to www.unionvoice.org/flightattendant/join.tcl to sign up.
Another way to take a stand on behalf of workers across the country is to subscribe to the AFL-CIO Working Families e-Activist Network. It's a simple and effective tool similar to the AFA e-Activist network, which communicates with working families and encourages them to contact their elected representatives about important issues affecting working families. To sign up for Working Families click on
www.unionvoice.org/wfean/join.html.
Currently, the only members at US Airways who receive these messages are AFA leaders and members who have taken the time to
sign up specifically for these e-mails. But we need all of our
Flight Attendants to stay informed and work together during these difficult times in our industry. Make your voice heard. Sign up for the AFA e-Activist network and Working Families
today.
