EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Term of office is January 1, 2011 - December 31, 2013

Qualifications:

  • US Airways Flight Attendant 
  • AFA member in good standing

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

1. The association of Flight Attendants Employee Assistance Program (AFA EAP) is a confidential resource available to the members, their families and their partners to assist with personal, as well as work-related concerns. AFA's EAP provide three distinct but interrelated services including:

i. Assessment, support and resource referral

The AFA EAP provides problem identification, emotional support and linkage to resources to assist with a wide array of personal as well as work related concerns.

ii. Advancement of professional standards through conflict resolution

The AFA EAP offers problem-solving and conflict resolution strategies in an effort to encourage the settlement of disputes among co-workers without the need for management intervention.

iii. Response to critical incident and/or traumatic incidents

The AFA EAP provides structured intervention and support services in the aftermath of a critical incident and/or traumatic incident to mitigate stress and accelerate recovery.

AFA's objective in providing these services is to enhance the health, safety and well being of its union family with the highest quality of peer support services within the EAP industry.
